Opportunities in the arts community in April include information on the upcoming deadline for submitting short films to the Galway Film Fleadh; a scholarship opportunity from Music Network for an intensive professional development course called Making Overtures 2009 and a call for artists/projects for use of the Back Loft, the multi-purpose space of La Cathedral Studios.

7. International news from the Cultural Contact Point

News from the CCP in April includes: information on upcoming culture programme infodays in Barcelona, Vilnius and Brussels; a call for proposals for a youth in action programme; an open call for applications for a space pilot project for artist mobility; a notice on the photo contest IMAGO europae 2009 and details of a seminar on delivering public services in times of a financial crises in Maastricht in July.
